Truman Show Paper

Hears one of the quote from the movie. "One doesn't discover new lands without consenting to
lose sight of the shore for a very long time" by Andre Gide. The movie Truman show had a lot
of different interesting things.  The Truman Show depicts on several interesting areas of the
video production through camera, advertising, and the movie ending.
The movie Truman Show had different verity of camera angles. While watching the move the camera angles made you wonder where the camera was placed. In the move they used different types of camera angels for example the producers used close up, middle shot, and long shot.  Some examples of close up shots are when Truman drives in the car and the camera was inside the dash board. Another close up shot was in the side mirror that is in the car. When dog attacks Truman in the beginning he gets scared of the dog and it showed good expression of his face with the close up if they did long shot you would not be able to see his face expression. All of close up shots had interesting backgrounds. Some of the backgrounds are when Truman rides the boat.  In that seen Truman was happy and excited to get out from the city. The long shot in the movie was when Truman crashed the boat into the side of the dome.  Through the movie the camera shots and angles were good and it made you want to watch the movie.
In the movie they used product placement in a sarcastic way so people can see this products while watching the movie. Some products that they shown on the show are coffee and knives. She showed knives when Truman was banding down digging in the flower bed.
She showed the coffee and she was telling how good the coffee is so viewers will buy the coffee. In my opinion the movie is not real. I think so because you could not do that to the person and when you are 30 you would find out that something doesn’t look right. If this movie was on TV I would watch it because it looks interesting.
The ending of the movie wasn’t right in my opinion I didn’t like the movie ending.  The ending wasn’t right because he exists the dome and Silvia runs down the stairs and what happened next they didn’t show. I thing that they should of show what will Truman think of outside world and what kind of reaction will he have to it. When he exits will he go find Sylvia? I think they should made part two of the movie what kind of life will he have after the dome experience.  I could not tell what Christof will do after Truman left.
In conclusion, the movie Truman Show was great by the several interesting areas of
the video production through camera, advertising, and the movie ending.
